Coaching Contest Announcement
Ok, so here’s the whole story why I’m doing this contest…
Have you ever just wanted a break in life?
I know I have. The funny thing about it though is, the ‘big breaks’
I’ve had in my life have come when I least expect them (there is a reason
for this but it’ll take to long to explain right now).
And I know that there is someone that is doing everything
they know to do to be successful in their life and all
they need is a ‘big break’.
Now, I have had a couple of ‘big breaks’ in my life (mainly
because I created them without knowing it at the time) and I
want to give back one of those ‘big breaks’.
So, the winner of this contest is going to receive free enrollment
into the Inner Circle Coaching Program.
Now the important stuff, here are the ’super tough’ rules
of the contest:
1. I am the sole judge and jury.
2. You must have access to either Skype or a landline that I
can ring you on for our coaching sessions.
3. To enter the contest all you need to do is post a comment
to this blog with ALL of the following information (I won’t
even look at your entry if you don’t have ALL of this info
in the post) :
A. Your Name (Your first name initial and your last name will be
fine. For example, if I entered this contest I would either put
Jason Osborn or J. Osborn)
B. City & State OR City & Country
C. Tell me why you should win this competition. In other words,
why should I give 6 months of my time to coach you?
4. I reserve the right to change the rules if there’s something
I haven’t thought of.
Ok, that’s all for now… so get busy!
-Jason

I am an undergraduate University student studying economics. I have an interest in politics, and increasing quality of life in underdeveloped countries through free-market means and encouraging international trade. I have been singing solo for many weddings, celebrations, and sports events since I was 7. I also briefly modeled for a high-profile contest and a local designer in Vancouver, BC. Esentially my experiences have been varied, but I know I want to make a positive impact for other people, whether it be by writing an inspiring song, or creating/working with a think-tank to come up with free-market solutions to poverty-related social problems, because they are sustainable (they put to work self-interest in people, and thus can actually help people help themselves, rather than making them reliant upon aid). Look at Grameen Bank, that is an example of simplifying economic concepts such as micro-finance lending and making it available to people who did not have access to it before check out: [http://www.grameenfoundation.org/what_we_do/microfinance_in_action/]. It’s simple discoveries and ideas put in motion like these that have far-reaching positive effects on the lives of others that inspire me in my growing knowledge of Economics and my hope to contribute to the discovery of similar solutions in the future.

I have spent lifetimes witnessing the slaughter of innocents. This has left me with a high level of anger at the injustices in the world, a need to protect and help the helpless as well as some pretty severe forgiveness issues. I give freely to those in need, but I seem to lack the judgement to determine when I am simply giving a man a fish as opposed to when I am teaching a man to fish. Hence, I throw a lot of money away without truly helping. I seem to be a expert in “enabling”.
I have had two primary careers, one financially gratifying and one spiritually gratifying. I would like to learn to value myself. I want to be financially successful without feeling guilty about it. I want to improve my relationships with others.

After some years of wondering what is missing from my life, I’m excited that I’m learning both practical and spiritual lessons. My feet are on the path, and I’m gradually moving forward on my journey to live as a child of God and discover and carry out my purpose in life. I’ve seen opportunities to move along down the path “appear” out of nowhere but turn out to be exactly what I need at that precise point in time to learn more and keep going forward. Also, I know and I’ve accepted that I need help to take some of those steps, and I’m ready! P.S. Congratulations on your video and thank you for offering this contest.

Hi Jason,
At the outset, I would like to thank you for offering to spare 6 months of your time to a perfect stranger so that they can improve their life. I really appreciate this and given the chance, I will certainly make the most of it.
As for why I should be chosen from amongst so many other deserving candidates, I would say this -
Life has a way of giving you glorious dreams and then snatching them away at the last moment; leaving you with no alternative either.
It makes you laugh and jump with joy and pushes you to the depths of despair. Life can be very unforgiving and vitimises you for no apparent reason.
I have seen all this, and having seen my share of dreams come crashing to the ground. I have also seen some great successes.
In the process, I have the learnt the all important lesson - Life does not care if you are a winner or a loser. It simply wants you to be a Survivor. And if you have been able to master the art of surviving the challenges that life throws at you everyday, it will respect you for it.
Being a resonably succesful person I have seen some miserable failures as well, and I am still standing.
Currently I am facing a personal crisis and I need to either overcome that crisis or get the strength to survive it.
Any which way, I need the kind of external help that will assist me in this.
So, WHY ME? Well, Somewhere along the way, I realised that I am a Survivor and I have what it takes to face life in all its gory and glory. And I have the passion to share my learnings with others who are equally situated.
This would be an ideal chance to do that!
Thanks in advance if you are choosing me. Otherwise, my congratulations to the chosen one!
All the best in your project!

Hello Jason,
This opportunity to receive coaching sessions would come at a right time, while I am in a cross roads phase in my life. Recently have suffered material loss as well as spiritual one and unfortunately diagnosed with an illness. Although have learned some lessions I would not like to repeat these in the future. I’m an artist and I would like to explore further opportunities without it compromising my well being and success in life.
Sincerely,
Arlene R

Jason,
I value your email and your website to the extent I share it with anyone I possibly can, from my friends and family to my clients and the occasional obstinate friend that some may call an enemy! These recipients may respond to your message by saving it for later review, ignoring it, deleting the message in anger (how dare I tell them their life or attitude needs improving!) or disinterest, or reading and savoring its content, much like my response when I am on the receiving end. I supplement your inspiration with other self-help books, books on tape (or CD, which is the listening mode of the 21st century!) which I play continuously in my car, and with positive affirmations I tape on my bathroom mirror for viewing first thing in the morning and lastly prior to retiring.
I am the least qualified candidate to be rewarded by your one on one coaching. However, I write to you because after several years of falling down and getting myself back on my feet, I am ready to take it public and share with the world your messge and the message of other positive and motivational people. My goal is to present part-time and for free, until my message becomes financially valuable for an organization and they offer me money to speak. I continue to develop my format on a daily basis, relevant to the information I am currently absorbing. I want to focus on the psychology of fitness and committing to a health and wellness program because many people are unaware of the psychological benefits of feeling good about themselves. I’ve been an aerobic instructor for 27 years, and a personal trainer, where I actually felt more like a babysitter because my clients, with the exception of a very few (thanks, Fred!) expected me to beg them to honor their commitment and to participate in the workout I took the time to prepare especially for them. Their focus always seems to be the outcome and not their journey, which is so much more important. I also want to address indigents, who may think life has passed them over when all they need is reinforcement of their worth in society and the world. I may be a bit altruistic, but I really want to make a difference in the lives of others. And, of course, eventually I need to make an income of it so I don’t have to rent the cardboard box next to them!
I am a single mother who is raising a lovely and wonderful daughter and cares for her retired mother with no financial assistance from anyone. My company was just bought out and it’s very likely I’m going to lose my job so this is a perfect time to move in a new direction with my life and change the lives of others so they, too, can become the people they were meant to be!
Thank you for your attention.

Jason,
I believe that you should provide the (6) month coaching program to me because I have been searching for and not finding, what has been stopping me from being able to move forward in my goal to own and operate a home based business. I am like a car with the pedal to the metal, but the front wheel’s brakes are on, stopping me. I think that a correct mindset, and being around the right kind of people (with a correct mindset), will give me the push I need to get over the hump. I can feel that I am just a little bit short of going over that hump, and your coaching is what I need to do it. I am an eagle just ready to fly, but need that extra power your coaching would provide to be able to leave the nest. I need you to decide that you want to be the one who gives me those wings. Thanks so much for the opportunity.
My best,
Kevin Griffin

Hi Jason,
In January 2007, I lost my job of 10 years. In July 2007, my wife of 10 years blindsided me with wanting a divorce (in hindsight, I should have seen it coming). The last year has been the darkest of my life and it has been the catalyst for real change. I have lost 45 lbs through diet and exercise, bought new clothes, took up music lessons, but it’s not enough. I wake up in the morning, say my daily affirmation, listen to an energizing song, read a blog or quote, and head out the door. But as soon as I try to approach someone new or make a mistake at work, it’s like the energy is popped like a balloon and I become deflated.
My own greatness is inevitable because I am going to keep shooting for it or die trying. But with 6 months of coaching, I will be that much further, that much better. It’s not enough that I say I am great, I have to believe it. And when faced with social situations, my bravado gives out and exposes that I don’t truly believe it.
I don’t want to be meek, approval-seeking nice guy anymore. I want to be a confident, assertive, man of integrity. I will settle for nothing less.

After living a life a sacrifice, and not pursuing my own passion, I think I finally have found a direction that a am truly excited about. It is realistic, and yet the sky is the limit. It is responsible, and yet I it is in a vein that I feel is from my heart, my true inner voice.
This realization did not come without some major pain and suffering. I have spent about the last two years really investigating and searching for my life purpose. I even went to far as to stop everything for about 4 months and really get in touch again with what I would love to do. Not ’should do’ or ‘have to do’. I am so enthused now!
Why I need coaching and it would have the most effect working with me. I have spent many, many years listening to the expectations of others, and not trusted my inner voice, not trusted myself. Coaching would help me to stay motivated , stay confident and stay on course (in other words - trust myself, and get major results), as I learn and move forward in this exciting time in my life.
I would be honoured and excited to work with you!

Good day Jason
First of all, thank you very much indeed for your kindness to offer your time and energy for someone who is in need. This world is a wonderful place, because there are people like you do care and able to give freely.
I believe I am far more than just a survivor. There must be something wonderful, meaningful out there waiting for me to discover. I am lucky enough to have one coaching session with you over the international call last year. I have followed your professional suggestions to overcome the challenges that I am facing now, and I do know that I need more detailed assistances from you to achieve the desired states in my life.
Due to the limitation of the language, I may be able to express myself fully regarding your kindness and my current circumstances. However, I am 100% sure that with your professional coaching programme, I will be able reach my dreams.
May I wish everyone who have got Jason’s well-designed coaching programme to have the abilities to serve.
Jason, thank you again.
Kind regards,
Neil Hsu

After (and before) reading the other posts I can honestly say I can think of no good reason as to why I would deserve this opportunity over another. I sense that this will be a positive experience for someone and it may as well be me. Like others I too have a story or saga not necessarily more or less compelling. My congratulations in advance to the eventual winner and sincere appreciation to Jason for your efforts.
Thank you,
Patrick Hay

Thank you for the opportunity.
I
I’ve always believed there is more to life than what I am recieving at the moment. I have never really fitted into the “tribal mode” but am totally indigenous. I have spent most of my life looking after others and have forgotten about me.
I would like the chance, even though it’s late in life to do your 6 month couching program.
thank you
